Default To the H2O Audio guy...

Hey Dana, I work at a swim shop, and I had a question about your iPod cases. How reliable are they? People are always so terrified to put their 200+$ ipod in a plastic case and trust it, but I can't give them a straight answer on their reliability. Do you guys offer any warranty? And what's the failure rate on them? If you don't want to make the info public, shoot me a Private message. Of course, I want to sell them just as much as you do, so I wouldn't ever say anything negative to the customers, but if I had a little more information about them, I think I could sell quite a few more.

Thanks!

Hey there!
We do have a one year warranty on all our products. As far as the failure rate goes, the rate of acutal mechanical failure is VERY low, and if it is found that it was manufactuer defect in the product that caused it to flood, we will take care of you. However, more common is human error. We find that most product that gets returned to us was because a person didn't check the seal before closing the case, or got part of the wire caught in the latch causing it to leak, etc. We make all our products so that the seal is very easy to check, so you can see through clear plastic that the seal is in tact and water tight once closed. We also suggest that everyone test their case without the device in it before using it, and inevitably there are people that don't heed this advice, don't read the instructions, don't know how the latch or seal works and end up fying their pod. On a personal note, I'm a competition level swimmer myself, and swam with an H2O Audio Interval Headphone System for over a year before I even came to work here. So although I'm an employee now, I know the gear works, and works well, and I truely do love it.

I hope that helps! And thanks for your interest in our products!
Dana
