Age Groups: 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, and so on at 5-year increments, the last group being for any age above 100 years

Not quite right.

There is no 'last' age group. 100-104, 105-109, 110-114 etc. etc.

Haven't seen anyone swim in this age group. (Went out with a Swedish woman once who looked as though she could have swum in this group).

There are a few masters world records in the 100-104 age group. Don't know if these swimmers are still alive.

Attended the Australian Masters Championships a fortnight ago, there are some insanely fit swimmers in the 70+ age groups. A few males and females who were easily beating swimmers in the 30-40 bracket. Age is no barrier, that's for sure!

Read up on Tom Hafey an ex-footballer from Australia, he is 77 and has a morning ritual most healthy teenagers couldn't do!

From Wikipeda "Hafey's passion for fitness still exists today, and every morning he wakes up at 5:20 and goes for an 8 km run, a swim in Port Phillip Bay and when he gets home, he does 700 situps."

I've met him a few times and tis is no joke, he does that routine rain, hail or shine. A true legend!
