I got a laugh at the rumors that Amanda Beard was dating Phelps. Actually, what I really laughed about was how she totally slammed him in an interview where she said there would be no way in hell she would date that guy because he's not her type. lol

Uh-hmmm, I'm sure this makes me an uber-geek, but after I moved from Maryland to Colorado, I went around for a month letting all my swim partners know that I trained in the "same pool that Michael Phelps started his career."

I conveniently left out the part about him only being about 12 years old at the time and nowhere near the super-star he is today. Ha!

I remember when people thought Ian Thorpe was the most insane swimmer who ever lived...and then Michael Phelps came along and rewrote the definition of what it was to be a great swimmer. I can only imagine what the "next" Phelps will be like!
