Default Best "Sprint" Distance Tri Workout?

I'm gearing up for my 3rd "Sprint Distance" Triathlon this summer and can't seem to ever increase my swim times. I'll admit, currently my biking ability is my strong-suit, but I feel that if I can shave off a couple of minutes in my swim it will really help.

Not a natural swimmer, I'm now learning more and more about proper technique, etc. What I really need to know however is a good, straight-forward workout routine that will help me with the following:

Distance: 800 meters
Conditions: open water LAKE, cold-water (I'll have a slim-jim wetsuit on)
Event date: August 22nd (roughly 10 weeks to train)
Committed time at the pool: I only have about 2-days per week to swim train... perhaps THAT is my problem, ha!
